Counting Pennies

I made about $200-$300, I guess. Not as much as I hoped, but what can you do, people are idiots.

I went through the entire cycle of being sick in one work week: Monday I started discovering signs, Wednesday was it's peak, and today, Friday, my symptoms are diminishing. Astounding! I got sick and got better all in the time my little brother got sick. Beast mode.

Anyway I deposited $699 into my bank account today. I wonder when the next time I'll be able to say that will be...

And there are people following this blog now.. hah this was never supposed to be followed! Follow my other one!! jk.

Presents

For the first time I have money to buy my parents Christmas presents! I'm planning to go to Best Buy or Target to get them some cool gadgets (they like gadgets). My mom has the same phone as me, so I'm thinking I could find something neat for that.

Also, depending on how well Warrior sells on the 18th, I'm going to have some money to get myself something as well. I really hope my book sells, I tried fairly hard on it. Anyway, I've decided that I want to get an iPod, seeing as how my Zune is useless with my Mac computer. I don't know which model I want... but I'm sure I'll be happy just to have one that I can put music on. :)

eh?

President-Elect

I didn't vote for Sen. Obama, but he still commands my respect for his accomplishments.

I watched both John McCain's concession speech and Barack Obama's acceptance speech with equal amounts of respect and appreciation.

What an astounding victory this is, for him and for our country.

Accomplish

This weekend was freakin better than the entirety of last week combined.

Went to Warren's homecoming football game which was cool, and buffalo wild wings. And saw MAX!!? lol
Covering adjunct council on Sat. morning was freaking POINTLESS AND RETARTED because I know they won't use any of those photos anyway. FUCK the Ranger.
Then saw Warren's UIL performance Sat. afternoon with Lori and Mario.
THEN, went to Mcnay today with Tori! Plus Subway and Marble Slab. :P And that was freakin awesome.
ALSO, Meiko just added me to her top friends on MySpace!!! How many people can say that they are actually on one of their favorite artists of all time's top friends?! Yeah, not that many at all.

NOW I JUST FINISHED MY ENGLISH MIDTERM COULD THIS WEEKEND GET ANY BETTER?!

It's a shame that I have more fun with underclassman and my old high school than I do at the Ranger and ANY of my classes.
Oh well, I don't care. FUCK college. :)

I Want It!!

Exactly 3 months after my aunt was gracious enough to purchase me a beautiful white MacBook for my upcoming school semester, Apple Inc. unveils their new aluminum thinner, faster-graphics-card MacBook.

Fotography

My teacher, Dr. Lo, was leading a discussion of a photo's composition today, and started to relate the elements in the photo to elements of music. He related the harsh background to the harsh drum and tympani, and the soft focal point to the melody of a musical piece.

Only Dr. Lo...

Also I drove to St. Philips to cover girls volleyball against St. Philips (duh). They won, which was pretty cool since they lost last the time I covered them. One of the girls, whose picture I took ended up in the newspaper, came up to me and asked me for the original file because her mom liked it and wanted it. It was nice getting feedback from the actual person I took a photo of. And also made me more interested in selling to get some cash moneyz.

Hump Day

I've never experienced the metaphorical relief that is getting over "hump day", but today I definitely feel it. Today was just a day that I needed to get through alive, but I did it and I'm very relieved.

I woke up F*CKING early to pay for that parking ticket downtown, then I went to pick up Wayne and take him to school. I had a very hard time staying awake in Mass Comm. but I managed, then English turned out much better than expected because I was one of the few to do the rough draft. I got to be part of Congress, not Wall Street ;) I did my photo assignment for the Ranger and got home by 6 thirty something!

ALSO, the I have a kick ass new lens that I'm stoked about, because I only paid $13 when it's easily worth $100! I've never had another lens before. It's 80-200mm and I'm dying to go the football game on Friday.

Ahhh I'm happy and relieved, and I have no homework. :)

The First of October

I've finished my rough draft of my essay, and believe me it's ROUGH. It's not as clean as my teacher wants it to be, but I'm really riding on the fact that at least I didn't get a zero.

I'm really dreading tomorrow; it's going to be a very exhausting day:

1. wake up at 7, to go to municipal courts to pay for ticket
2. somehow get gas
3. sit through english with my terrible essay
4. cover a faculty meeting
5. come home and do homework...

I'm really dreading tomorrow. Today actually. I have less than 5 hours to sleep. :(
goodnight blogspot readers, if there are any!

shite

Again I'm up late working on another essay for tomorrow. It's substantially longer this time and I really don't think I'm going to do a very good job. But I'm not in the mood to care so it's alright.

I'm determined to stay busy with the Ranger much to my own dismay, and my parents'. I have to pay a parking ticket that's due tomorrow. I have to get a checking account. I have to deposit that check before it's void. I have to get gas. I have to sign up for Europe. I have to do this essay. What the fuck don't I have to do. :(

I got home today and watched Charlie and Alex on BlogTV for a while. They shaved their hair, and now that I look back on it, I'm glad I watched it. It made my day a little better. Oh, and I also ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A today with Tori. I really enjoyed that.

Ughhhhh I fucking hate this week.

They are complete IDIOTS for not realizing that dying your hair will leave your scalp colored after you shave your head. But happy 18th birthday Charlie. :)

Gaynger.

I'm becoming jealous. It's not a very good thing that I'm used to taking all the photos for the school newspaper. Now, there's an army of photographers with good talent to boot. I'm not concerned with who's better than who, but who's getting more photos in the weekly paper! Damn! All I covered was fencing. And they didn't even use that AMAZING group volleyball shot. :|

I don't like this one bit. Work harder and strive to be better, that's what I'll have to do. I've got a good portion of the semester to do that...

Why don't they just accept how amazing I am, and make me not have to prove it? Life would be a lot simpler that way.

Rotten Fiesta

There was a freakin' fiesta in the mall at school today - complete with food booths, mariachis, lowrider cars, and fake designer accessories. And I didn't bring my camera. WTF, THE ONE DAY I DON'T BRING IT! I know someone will cover it for the Ranger, but wtf I wanted to take pictures too. :|

At least they cleaned whatever was making the elevator in the parking garage smell like Hell. I swear there was a dead animal or something stuck in the elevator shaft, because everyday it smelled like rotten poop or something. But now it's minty fresh. Well, not really.

UUGGHHH I should have taken my camera. But at least I'm eating with Max and the people tomorrow.

Balance

On Friday, I was starving by the time I got done shooting photos for the Ranger, and I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I stopped at Subway near my house before I got home. Now, on Fridays, Subway has the tuna sandwich "fresh fit" meal deal or whatever the hell, and I wanted to have that. But they had no more tuna, so I had to get something else. I don't like something else; I like tuna and that's all I get at Subway damn it!

On Saturday I covered a meeting at SAC and again wanted to eat something before I had to go all the way home. I wasn't planning on it, but I had Subway again (a different one; there is one on campus). I ordered tuna, and guess what, they had it! Not only did they have it, the sandwich maker made me the hugest tuna sandwich I have ever seen: two giant scoops piled high with pickles and lettuce. It was Heaven to eat. Oh, God it was amazing. I guess the universe really does balance itself out.

Money

I applied at 4 places: Target, The Apple Store, Hollister, and American Eagle. I hope they don't base their decisions on ridiculous things like work experience.

"Use Somebody" - Kings of Leon. I suggest you check that out and insert it into your music library and/or device.

Oh, and I also picked up my check for $750.00 at the business office at school. That should be enough to pay for the $25.00 parking ticket I got yesterday... :|

I'm going to Europe in May.
Rome, Florence, Italy, Madrid.

GTA4!

Zomg Tuesday! Charlie Day! Not.

I had my first assignment for The Ranger today which was incredibly disappointing. It was just a table...

Anyway while reading about Frederick Douglass, I was thinking about how awful it must be to be illiterate and know it. I can't think how hard it must be to teach yourself to read and write. Reading and writing is easy! But to do it so late in the game? Dang son.

Kings of Leon have taken over every speaker in my possession! Only By The Night has some pretty neat songs.

I also hate eating out alone. I went to Main Street Pizza today, but eating by myself was so fucking awkward.

Silver Nano

Thinking about it...

I'm getting a check on Thursday anyway...

Of Accomplishment

AHHHAA VICTORY OVER MY PEERS! It turns out my professor decided that our essay should be due by our next class which is Wednesday, but for all who actually did it may have turned it in there. Guess who was the only one who turned it in? UHH SON, that's right. No homework for the most part in the English department.

Time for some freakin Grand Theft Auto Four. Bye.

Essay Update

I finally finished this damn essay and it's 3:30 am. Now comes the mild satisfaction knowing I could have just left it undone... At least I have the new Kings of Leon "Only By The Night" to listen to while I drive 40 miles to school tomorrow. Yeah, it comes out a week from Tuesday.

Goodnight!

Procrastination

I've been selling myself short by only having a photo blog. I've been missing out on the true meaning of a weblog. Anyway I've been meaning to make one of these things for a while but I get occupied with my other blog.

The reason I'm up so late is because I'm writing a four paragraph essay! Yeah I would wait until the last minute... but at least I'm in a better position than I'm used to being in: I understand what the hell I'm doing. It's an essay on another essay. If you can comprehend that, I'm writing about Montaigne's essay "Of The Education of Children". Sounds easy enough, but it's literature from the 1500s, and a bitch to comprehend. But, I'm getting it and mixing it around in my brain.

One aphorism I'm particularly fond of is when Montainge states,

"It is no more according to Plato than according to me, since he and I understand and see it in the same way,"

If you don't know what an aphorism is and can't be bothered to look it up - an aphorism is a brief statement of truth. The way my professor put it, was, "It's that one zinger sentence that stands out like a gem,"

I have two and a half paragraphs to write, what the hell am I doing!?
